Blood Kingdoms

It is the second age of the Blood Kingdoms. The Vordagian Empire's War is a forgotten memory for most and the clashing kingdoms have grown quiet in their efforts to remake themselves for the next conflict. New powers have arisen and old ones, now in decline, struggle to maintain their standing. The lands are ripe with rumor and unrest. And so the tragedy begins with the unlikely persons of a disfigured healer, an outcast prince and a kindly woodsman. They have enjoyed success in their past endeavors and have found a haven away from power-mad rulers and their plots. Or so they thought...

Sargon

This Priest, once steadfast in his faith, lost his way after a fateful battle with a formidable foe over a woman. Though he ultimately triumphed, the victory came at a devastating cost. As he struck down his enemy, the foe's final act was to cast a cursed, rotting death chant upon him, condemning him to a slow, agonizing decay. Only through the acquisition of a rare artifact—a bloodstone amulet—was he able to halt the spell’s insidious progress and save his life. Now, he wears the artifact around his neck, a constant reminder of his torment. His face has become a grotesque mask, resembling that of a decomposing corpse

Grimmric

A towering warrior of Vordagian descent, he is a striking figure, with long, jet-black hair and a well-groomed beard and mustache that complement his deep, swarthy complexion. His imposing frame is solid and formidable, and every movement he makes carries the weight of quiet pride. Though his arrogance can sometimes get the best of him, he never forgets who he is—the rightful king of Vordag, cast out after his family was executed and blamed for the kingdom's fall, a betrayal orchestrated by the very man who now sits on the throne.

His skill with a two-handed weapon, Sorrow, is legendary. The ancient artifact seems weightless in his hands, its blade dancing effortlessly through the air as though guided by an unseen force. His swordsmanship is the legacy of great masters from the past, who taught him a forgotten style of combat, one that only a few can truly understand. When he wields Sorrow, it appears less a weapon and more an extension of his will, moving with a grace and speed that defy the laws of nature. Each strike is as fluid as a whisper, a testament to his unparalleled skill and the unbroken connection between warrior and blade.

Aric

A hunter by trade, he is youthful and striking, with hair the color of freshly ripened wheat and eyes as blue as a cloudless summer sky. His skin glows with a healthy bronze—a testament to years spent living in harmony with the outdoors. His attire, a blend of supple leathers in deep browns and rich greens, mirrors the very earth beneath his feet, allowing him to blend seamlessly with the natural world around him. Known for his skill in tracking—whether his quarry be man or beast—none can elude him for long. A true son of the wilderness, his sharp eye and remarkable memory makes him a master of deduction. He is also an expert trapper, for nothing escapes his snares. Though his heart is kind, that compassion often proves ill-suited to the harsh, unforgiving lands he calls home.

Cardwell

Bandit

When it comes to staying out of sight, he's unmatched—an invisible phantom in a world full of shadows. A master thief, honed by years of practice, he’s been expertly maneuvered into the service of those who seek to exploit his rare talents for their own gain. Tricked by a cunning force, he now finds himself embedded with a group of mercenaries on the dangerous island of Sanctum. To survive, he’s forced to carry out their dirty work, hoping that his obedience will earn him the one thing keeping him alive: an antidote to a poison that threatens to end him.

His hands—unnervingly large, his fingers unnaturally long—are the tools of his trade. They allow him to slip through locked doors, scale walls with ease, and silently take down enemies with lethal precision. But beneath the cold surface of compliance, his mind is always calculating, always searching for a way out of the trap he’s found himself in. Every job he’s forced to do brings him one step closer to the only thing that matters: his freedom.

Meerdock

Standing just under four feet tall, this Dark Caster is far from fragile. His physical stature belies the immense power and ancient wisdom that dwells within his mind—though clouded by forgetfulness, it makes him more perilous than nearly any living creature in the Blood Kingdoms. His skin is home to large dragon ticks, a mark of his bond with the fearsome dragons he keeps as pets. Residing on a remote island, aptly named after him, he is a figure both enigmatic and deadly, accessible only to those who dare brave its treacherous shores.

Falyn

A young girl, whose life has been a cycle of enslavement and escape, has honed thieving skills few could hope to master in a lifetime. With an uncanny ability to slip through the tightest of bonds, she's perfected the art of deception, always playing the innocent, only to leave you penniless and unaware until it's too late.

Thornpike

Captain of the Sea Raven, a mighty war galleon owned by Grimmric and Sargon, he has set foot on every shore across the Blood Kingdoms. His strength is unrivaled, and none dare challenge him without regret. A fierce protector of his crew, he would lay down his life for any of them without hesitation. Revered by his peers in the seafaring nations, he commands respect not through tyranny, but through fair leadership and unwavering honor.

In his youth, he made a name for himself defending wealthy merchant vessels with his formidable war galleon, striking fear into the hearts of those who would prey upon the trade routes. Over time, his renown grew, and he became a living legend—known to all as the Sea Raven. The name, given by past enemies, now graces his mighty ship, a symbol of his legacy and the loyalty of the men who sail under his command.

Mora

Leader of the feared assassins' guild "Red Dagger & Cloke" on the cursed island of Sanctum, she commands a deadly sisterhood of women whose skill in assassination is unparalleled. Known for their ruthlessness, these assassins can wipe out entire squads with chilling efficiency, leaving no trace of resistance behind. Operating in small, secretive cells scattered across the lands, their network is vast, elusive, and unmatched in its reach.

Many dismiss their existence as mere myth, a whisper on the wind, but for those who have crossed them, death is an undeniable reality. The guild’s creed is simple: They do not seek glory, but instead live in the shadows, bound by loyalty to each other and their unyielding code.

Bellgrave

The Emperor of Vordag seized his throne by ruthlessly eliminating the rightful royal family, intent on forging a new future for his empire. Once a dominant superpower, Vordag now languishes in the shadow of its former glory. Believing that the old royal bloodline was responsible for the empire's decline, he eradicated it, determined to start anew with himself at the helm. To cement his rule, he enlists the aid of his dark priests, who serve as both advisors and agents of his will. Together, they scour the land in search of ancient and powerful artifacts, hoping to restore Vordag to its former strength—and secure the Emperor’s unchallenged control over the realm.

Azgar

Dark Casters are a rare and hunted breed, their existence threatened by relentless persecution. Their forbidden art is slowly being lost to time, fading into obscurity with each passing day. But for one Dark Caster, his power continues to grow—unseen, untamed, and now among the most formidable in all the Blood Kingdoms. No one dares seek him out, for to do so is to court certain doom from the very start.

In his youth, he was trained by the legendary Meerdoc, a master of the craft, whose teachings set the foundation for his ascent. From there, his knowledge expanded, and he became a Grand Caster in his own right, wielding power that few could even comprehend.

Obitor

Summoned Death Warrior

This fearsome demonic warrior hails from a dark, forbidden realm, summoned by the Priests of Vordag to serve their will. Now bound to the Emperor Bellgrave, he carries out his master's bidding across the empire, a shadow of destruction wherever he treads. His primary task is the acquisition of rare and powerful artifacts, which he collects and delivers to the Vordagion Empire with unwavering devotion.

Known for his unmatched prowess in battle, he can obliterate entire armies with a single strike of his infernal weapon. But his brutality doesn't end there: the souls of those he slays are forever imprisoned within his hellish domain, where they are tormented for all eternity. A being of unfathomable power and relentless purpose, he is both a herald of doom and a loyal servant of the dark forces that bind him.
